We’re proud to announce that Hampiðjan has signed an agreement to acquire International Rope Braid (IRB) — a leading Australian braided rope manufacturer based on the Gold Coast, just south of Brisbane.
Founded by Dave and Suzy Allan in 2005, IRB has grown from the ground up into one of Australia's premier braided rope manufacturers, servicing sectors like Aquaculture, Yachting, Sailmaking, Mining, Marine, and Cable Pulling. Over the years, IRB and Hampidjan Australia have built a strong collaborative relationship — and now we're taking the next step.
From August 1st, IRB’s operations will become part of Hampidjan’s global network, enhancing our ability to deliver high-quality, coverbraided ropes more efficiently across Australia and New Zealand. IRB’s local expertise, short lead times, and highly skilled team will complement Hampidjan Australia and Hampidjan Baltic operations perfectly.
