In 2021, Reynaers Group made a long-term commitment: to decarbonise our footprint from end to end.
To make that commitment credible, we aligned with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) — one of the world’s most rigorous frameworks for corporate climate action. You can think of SBTi as the gold standard for decarbonisation: science-based, transparent and focused on the actions that truly reduce emissions.
Today, we are proud to share the progress we have made compared to our 2019 baseline:
📉 Scope 1 & 2 (our own operations): –10.4% in absolute emissions
This progress is driven by concrete action:
◾ We have doubled our solar capacity over the last 6 years, reaching 2.5 MW
◾ 68% of our European company car fleet is now electric or hybrid
◾ Every kWh we consumed in 2025 was 9% less carbon-intensive than in 2019
📉 Scope 3 (purchased goods and services): –30.5% relative emission reduction
This is where the biggest impact happens and where partnership matters most. Together with our suppliers and partners, we achieved major reductions:

◾ Aluminium footprint reduced by 36%
More than 80% of our portfolio in the European distribution network is now low-carbon, making low-carbon aluminium the standard across Europe for Reynaers Aluminium.
◾ Thermal breaks footprint reduced by 60%
More than 70% of our portfolio has now switched to low-carbon thermal breaks.
@[urn:li:organization:10640733:Forster Profile Systems]
◾ Since 2024, Forster gives access to Low-Carbon Emission Steel, reducing emissions by 60% compared to standard steel
This is the steepest reduction we have recorded since we started tracking. However, the transition to a low-carbon future is not linear. It takes persistence, science, and strong partnerships.
For us, decarbonisation is not about good intentions alone. It is about measuring rigorously, prioritising where it matters most, and delivering real reductions.
That is the journey we are on. Discover more in our new sustainability report: https://brnw.ch/21x6Kx8
