This residential project by Vesper Projects brings together architectural hardware by Dauby and traditional brassware by Kenny&Mason.

Two Belgian brands, each with their own expertise, sharing a common appreciation for timeless design and authentic materials.

The same approach feels just as relevant in hospitality.

And speaking of hospitality… in exactly one week, we’ll be bringing both brands together at EquipHotel Paris 🇫🇷

A natural combination in a home where old and new live side by side.

It started with a stone.

Found by Paul Dauby on a beach in Normandy, its simple, organic shape became the starting point for a bespoke door handle created for Contrast Wooninrichters.

The original form was translated into solid brass, mirrored and technically refined to work seamlessly on both sides of the door. Finished in Gun Metal, the result feels almost sculptural against the restrained interior.

A small object, but a good example of how we approach bespoke work at Dauby: not by customising for the sake of it, but by looking closely at shape, material, proportion and use.

Sometimes, the most unexpected objects become the starting point for something new.
