If you're using an electric fence to contain livestock, you'll want to have good grounding to ensure the fence works properly! Effective grounding begins with correct placement for optimal performance. The best spot is somewhere where it's damp, sand and clay soils don't conduct electricity well so they aren't a good choice.

A great couple of days at Fresh Valley Farms with the Small Scale Meat Producers in Armstrong.
This is a highly diversified operation now using Gallagher eShepherd Virtual Fencing, supplied by Okanagan Ranch and Fence. They’ve moved from intensive grazing with electric fencing to eShepherd, and the difference is clear.
Big takeaway from Steve Meggait: more time to actually manage the farm, and less time spent moving and maintaining fence.
We also had the chance to present some of the tools we offer, including Range Ward Razer Grazer, GPS ear tag trackers, solar water buggies, and solar water systems.
