What I’ve valued most in serving the local guitar-playing community is that it’s always been person-to-person — musicians, builders, and players connected through craftsmanship, passion, and relationships far outside the realm of corporatism.
In view of Fender’s recent litigation against guitar builders both big and small, I’ll simply say: corporations do what corporations do.
My hope is that this ultimately brings greater awareness to the many small builders creating instruments of exceptional quality, innovation, and performance — and that the guitar community responds by supporting the people behind the craft.
If anything good comes from this, perhaps it’s a renewed appreciation for independent builders and the communities that support them.
Rock steady, friends. ✌🏻🎸
