As of March 1, 2026 cost of metal products used in trap building increased by 25%. The reason is the tariffs described below.

We know that the lobster industry is the source of income for all of us. Not only lobster fishers and trap builders are affected. Car dealers, building supplies retailers, carpenters, grocery stores, general merchandise retailers the list goes on, all rise and fall with the industry. Below is a list of Liberal Members of Parliament who voted for the tariff, if you are not in favor of the 25% tariff please call and let them know.
