True Bird Providing a local source of chicken raised how nature intended. Sharing my passion for healthy eatin We source out the grains and mill it ourselves.

Chickens are raised outside with lots of room to forage and are supplemented with certified organic grains, wheat,oats,buckwheat,flax meal,peas and sprouted wheat grass. No medicated or commercial feed is used. No soy or corn. The birds are never forced fed. Raising them slowly renders a juicy and flavourful meat. Also the nutritional value is far greater because of the birds healthy outdoor livin

g and diet. They are butchered between 10-12 weeks depending on the time of season. They are butchered at an inspected facility that is 15 minutes from our farm. We then chill the birds in walk in cooler for a few days and store them in a walk in freezer. We sell fresh and frozen whole chickens. Weights range from 3-8 pounds and are sold at $5 per pound. Farm visits are welcomed and delivery can always be arranged.
