Meet Matt Ringuette.

Matt has spent three years in the fire service, including the past year as a Level 1 certified firefighter. He's also coming up on two years as part of the Trinity Energy Group and Trinity Tools & Interiors family.

Ask Matt what he loves most about firefighting, and he'll point to the people. When a call comes in, firefighters come together with the same goal of protecting lives. It's the kind of teamwork we count on at Trinity too, and we're proud to have Matt on our crew.

Fire Prevention Week starts today!

Every October, communities across Canada and the United States set aside this week to talk about how fires start and how to stop them before they do.

This week means a lot to us at Trinity. Fire protection is a big part of the work we do, and for many of our people, it goes well beyond the job.

At Trinity, Rodney is Vice President of Operations. When the pager goes off, he serves with the Thorburn Fire Department as the Chief.

That gives Rodney a view of fire protection most people never get. On our job sites, he helps put that protection in place. On a call, he's the one counting on it to hold.

Hear Rodney talk about his time in the fire service and what it has taught him about the buildings we work on: https://youtu.be/jpEKOx8HpBM?si=8FML_9DT_FyrifI_

While it's on your mind, take a few minutes this week to test your smoke alarms and check the gauge on your fire extinguisher. It's a small habit that gives your family time to get out safely.

Fresh paint, just down the road from our store!

Swiss Chalet New Glasgow on Westville Road has a whole new look, and we were proud to supply the paint for the exterior renovation! Every surface was finished in Benjamin Moore Aura Exterior, a premium paint made to hold its color through everything a Nova Scotia year throws at it.

A big shout out to Maiato Medeiros of BM Renovations for the great work, and thank you to DAVACO for bringing us onto the project.

Planning an exterior project of your own? Stop by and talk to our team about Benjamin Moore colors and finishes.

Fire Prevention Week stars October 4th!

A working smoke alarm and a charged fire extinguisher give you time when it matters most. Test your alarms once a month and replace any unit older than 10 years. Check your extinguisher gauge too.

The needle should sit in the green with the pin and seal still in place. Then sit down with your household and plan two ways out of every room.

Many of our team members are volunteer firefighters, and they've seen what a few extra seconds can mean. If your alarms or extinguishers are due for replacement, Trinity Tools and Interiors has you covered!
