Proud of this one. A local Okanagan builder finished a townhome building to a high standard: floors, cabinets and fixtures in. They wanted the envelope tighter without touching a finish. So we masked three suites top to bottom, held the neighbours at equal pressure, and sealed from the inside over two seal days. Signed results, ACH50: 2.78 to 0.67, 2.30 to 0.90, 2.26 to 0.73. No walls opened.

Warm air rises and leaks out through gaps around pot lights, attic hatches and top plates. In the attic it melts the snow on the roof, which refreezes at the eaves. Inside, cold air sneaks in at window corners and leaves frost. Sealing the envelope from the inside closes those paths before the walls are closed in.
