Install it once. Tie off forever.

The Super Anchor ARS 2x8 (2801-D) bolts over the rafter or truss during framing or a re-roof, then flashes into the shingles. After that, every roofer, chimney sweep, solar installer and maintenance tech who goes up has a permanent tie-off point waiting for them.

What's in the box: the 430 stainless anchor, flashing base, tethered stem cover, and a Grade 8 bolt with locknut and nails.

5,000 lb (22 kN) minimum. Fits 2x4, 2x6 and 2x8 top chords, with drill-through for 2x10 and 2x12. Works on asphalt shingle and wood shake.

Before you clip in, check your harness. Every shift. ✅ 1. Webbing: no cuts, frays, burns or melted spots
✅ 2. Buckles: lock, hold and release clean
✅ 3. Stitching: no pulled, broken or cut threads
✅ 4. Labels: still readable (if not, retire it)
✅ 5. D-rings: no cracks, bends, rust or sharp edges
✅ 6. Fall history: caught a fall? Retire it. No exceptions.

When in doubt, take it out of service.

Fall protection isn’t a harness. It’s not an anchor. It’s a system — and a system with a missing piece is just expensive gear you’ll be wearing when you hit the ground.

A — Anchorage. 5,000 lb (22 kN) per worker, or engineered for the job. If you’re not sure what it’s rated for, you’re not tied off. You’re decorated.
B — Body support. Full-body harness only. Belts are for holding up your pants.
C — Connectors. Lanyard or SRL with an energy absorber. Locking snap hooks. This is the link that decides whether A and B mean anything.
D — Descent & rescue. Falling and getting caught is step one. Hanging there for 20 minutes waiting for someone to figure it out is how a “saved” worker still ends up in the ER.

Ontario law kicks in at 3 m. Gravity kicks in at zero.
