The Local Service District wishes to advise residents served by Langdon's Cove Pumphouse that a BOIL WATER ORDER has been put in place, due to low chlorine levels.

For residents served by Taylors Pond water supply, you are asked to continue to boil water until there are tests done to confirm that chlorine levels are where they should be.

The Local Service District Committee wishes to advise it's residents that are connected to Taylors Pond water supply, that we are dealing with leaves and debris going into the intake. You most likely have noticed a decrease in water pressure.
In order to insure that there is no damage done to the pump over night, the pump will be shut of at 10:00pm tonight and will be restarted at 7:00 am in the morning. We are doing this to prevent a pump breakdown.
There are contractors expected in town early this coming week. They are waiting for parts, so that the work can be done on getting everything related to Capital Works Project completed.
Sorry for the inconvenience this may cause.

The Local Service District Committee would like to thank everyone involved with the Canada Day Celebrations that were held yesterday. Thank you to all the people who joined in the parade. It may have been the biggest one ever! Possibly the most people attending also.
Thank you to those who volunteered to help in any way. You help is greatly appreciated. Thank you to the Volunteer Dept. which provided all the food/drink for the celebration. It was nice to see them all dressed in their FD outfits. Members of the FD were also there to take care of our Fireworks display.
Thank you to Gerard, who once again, provided the use of his property to hold the event and donated several bags of mussels to cook and give to anyone who wanted them, free!
It was great to see so many people attend and show pride in being Canadian and support the Fire Dept.
There were all ages from just a few months old to seniors attending and it was awesome to see each one.
The Local Service District is proud to be able to be a part of bringing everyone together and is grateful for the financial support that is received each year from the Government of Canada/Canadian Heritage.
It proves that when we can all work together, we can provide a day that can be enjoyed by everyone.
