Just have to share this post of Alf!
He loved the IPM Bruce County International Plowing Match and Rural Expo 2026.
104 years young — and a day at the IPM.
On Friday, September 25, right in the middle of the International Plowing Match & Rural Expo, we had the privilege of welcoming a very special visitor — Alfred Grubb.
At 104 years old, Alfred has lived almost his entire life in Teeswater. A WWII veteran, he returned home after the war and began farming — becoming one of the area’s early broiler chicken farmers, while also raising beef cattle.
And after more than a century of memories, farming and watching agriculture change through generations, Alfred spent the day with us at the IPM.
His favourite part?
The horses. ❤️
In Alfred’s own words:
“I had a wonderful time at the Plowing Match. I really enjoyed seeing the horses and want to thank my driver for a great day.”
Alfred, thank YOU for spending the day with us.
What an honour it was to have 104 years of history walk through our gates.
