As you put your plow away for the summer, take a look at these crucial points for signs of repair.

Booking repairs now means you can prevent further damage in storage. You can put it out of sight and out of mind, knowing it's ready to go whenever the season starts next.

1. Check the cutting edge and replace it if it's less than 4" or has any significant chips or uneven wear patterns

2. Replace rusted trip springs and tighten all mounting bolts

3. Lubricate all moving components like bearings, hinges, and pivot bolts

4. Check the mounting points for cracks, chips, or damage

5. Apply dielectric grease to help prevent corrosion on all electrical connections

6. Replace burned-out light bulbs and check the alignment of your lights

7. Repaint exposed metal

8. Perform routine maintenance on the vehicle to which your plow is attached

9. Restock your emergency parts and hydraulic fluid

It's time to store your snowplow for the summer months. Here's what you need to know:

1. Give it a good hand-wash, and dry it thoroughly to prevent rusting
(We don't recommend taking it through an automatic car wash)

2. Check the blade, lights, and mounts for wear and tear or obvious signs of damage

3. Top off your hydraulic fluid so air in the system doesn't corrode it from the inside out, and inspect the lines for damage

4. Position the blade with as little chrome piston visible as possible and grease what is visible

5. Clean and grease all electrical components

6. Store your plow on a concrete floor or pallet in a sheltered place
(While putting a tarp on it protects it from UV rays, it does not provide good enough ventilation)

7. Touch up paint chips to avoid rust

If your plow needs repairs, book your service appointment now so it's ready to go by first snowfall.

Cottage season is here! If your boat lift's power unit has any of these issues, you're likely in need of a hydraulic repair.

🚤 Slow, jerky movements
🚤 Unable to lift the boat
🚤 Doesn't switch directions

Your hydraulic fluid might be low or have been left low over the winter, causing air bubbles. Your hoses may also need repair.

Give us a call so you can get your boat on the water before the summer slips away.
