I think I’ll do one of these for every tour. Here’s Sean’s kit for this UK leg.

Last night was a VIBE, ya’ll!! London and I had some unfinished business to deal with. The last time we were here, I had about 3 and a half hours to set up before sound check. Needless to say for me, it was a hard show. Cymbal stands became loose and started falling, I had to run up every other minute to fix something, and then 3rd or 4th song in (maybe 5th or 6th….I can’t remember), the bottom head on the main snare popped, there was no backup main snare…. There’s that moment when all of a sudden, you and the drummer simultaneously hear the difference, look at each other, and then the panic thought of “oh s**t…” hits you. There isn’t enough time to think, so I just jumped up, start loosening the snare basket on snare 1, and then snare 2 (which was tuned low), and switch them mid song, switch the mics, and try to tune it higher while Sean was thankfully playing during a part that used the 10” trap snare…without any backup snare, or replacement bottom snare heads, that’s probably one of the scariest things that can happen during an arena show. At this level, if you’re going to be a drum tech, make sure you have access to review the backline rider, and always request a backup main snare. Stupidly enough, it slipped right passed me this time, and I forgot again….HOWEVER, I was able to request getting one for last night, the day before the show, and John Henry's came through on a SUNDAY, to get us a backup. I should have caught it prior to leaving Canada, but it all worked out. The band (SECRETS) absolutely killed The O2 Arena last night. The show was one of the best they’ve played and sounded. EVERYONE was on point, and crushed their job. My hat goes off to our entire team. ❤️🔥🔥🇬🇧🇬🇧

With all the touring I’ve been doing the last couple of years as a drum tech, one can’t help but feel inspired by the people I’ve surrounded myself with to play more. It’s been several years since I’ve had the chance to play live, or do any session work. I would REALLY SUPER DUPER appreciate if I can call on ya’ll to lend a helping hand to point me, or point anyone looking for some drum session work, playing live, or even in need of a drum tech! Please share this and pass it around to anyone you may know!! Thanks!!

6 days in Malta, 2 shows done, lots of core memories made. These are my people, and we do dope s**t.
It is never lost on me how privileged and lucky I am to be doing what I do. Just 2 years ago, I was terrified of screwing it all up. But when you have the people around the way I have, who motivate, encourage, and build you up, your passion continues to shine through.

I had my first “Are you PhilthyDrumTech?” here, and it really felt cool. It was great to meet you, GUNNI and you killed it, bro!

Probably one of the most amazing things I (all of us, really) have done, is swim into a nearly pitch black cave with 6 of my brothers, no cameras, no social media, just living and enjoying that experience in the moment. Something we’ll never forget. The Karan Aujla fam is just that. A family.

Heading back home for a bit, and then it’s your turn, UK!! 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

I’ve been home for several days now, and my sleeping schedule is still all messed up….been falling asleep on the couch at 4pm, waking up at 1am and not being able to get back to sleep….sometimes touring around the world has small negative affects when you get home. Especially when you set your alarm to fly back home with everyone, only to wake up an hour before your flight leaves, only to realize that you didn’t TURN ON your alarm and everyone left….nonetheless, Australia was an amazing time. Other than a few cancelations, every show was absolutely a blast, and the band just keeps getting better and better. I literally have the best seat in the house. I am truly grateful for my life right now. Every person on this crew, in this family has become such a positive influence in some aspect in my life. I truly miss them when I’m back home. This year has been such a ride and there’s still so much more to go!

I haven’t posted in a while. Let alone, anything other than your stuff. One upon a time, I had an emover haircut, and had photo shoots, and toured with a band. Incura was a big part of my life, for so many years. So many amazing memories, tours, laughs, fights, being in a room jamming with my brothers. I miss playing live. I miss playing shows. I miss the photo shoots, being the opening band and winning over the crowd…ahhh these were fun times.

The Canada leg of tour is done! I’m finally back home after cancelled flights, and my bags getting loaded on a different plane? Tf? Anyways…even after over two years of touring around the world, I still have a hard time coming to terms that this is my job. I can tell you with full honesty, I have never been happier in my life. The Canada tour for me was special. Even though I’ve already posted about this, being able to have a vision, and having the resources to bring it into existence is something I’ve had literal dreams of. I’m very proud of this kit build. My ADHD/OCD perfectionist side sees all the things I need fix when I look at these pictures, but the fact that this was my own vision, and it became real is something I am very proud of accomplishing. I could have never done any of it if it weren’t for the trust and belief in me that has for me, and to and for being incredibly accommodating, and being the absolute legends that they are for helping me this entire tour. To be a part of this record breaking tour, and having a hand in just a small aspect of its success is something I hold close to my heart. I can’t wait for the next leg! Australia, New Zealand, you’re next!
