With trucks moving around batching equipment, loose aggregate and grit can become trapped beneath tires, accelerating surface wear and increasing maintenance requirements.

As Nuhn Industries expands its operations in Sebringville, Ontario, durable concrete flooring is an important part of its new warehouse and assembly facility.

The project incorporates Hard-Cem® into approximately 101,000 sq. ft. of concrete flooring, using 2,300 m³ of concrete and approximately 7,000 bags of Hard-Cem.

By improving abrasion and erosion resistance from within the concrete, Hard-Cem helps protect against surface wear from heavy equipment and material-handling traffic—supporting longer service life and reduced maintenance.

When you’re building an aquatic facility, waterproofing needs to perform for the life of the structure.

At the Burnaby Lake Recreation Centre in Burnaby, BC, KIM® was dosed directly into the pool slabs and walls, providing integral crystalline
waterproofing from within the concrete. The Krystol® Waterstop System was also used at construction joints and penetrations—areas where leakage is most likely to occur.

Together, these systems help protect the pool structures against demanding conditions including constant hydrostatic pressure, chemically treated water, and potential groundwater exposure.
