We would like to thank each of the students who applied for the 2026 Gander Bay Building Supplies Scholarship.

This year’s applications were exceptionally strong. Every applicant demonstrated impressive academic achievement, along with leadership, community involvement and clear goals for the future.

The scoring was incredibly close, with high marks across every category, which made the final decision a very difficult one.

We are proud to see such talented, hardworking young people from our area beginning the next chapter of their education, and we sincerely wish each of them every success in the years ahead.

Summer will be attending Memorial University in a few days to pursue a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in English.
