It is with heavy hearts that we remember and honour Brady Born, who passed away at home on October 19, 2026, at the age of 38, following a courageous six-year battle with cancer.
Brady joined our Zak’s team in Warman four years ago as a Material Package Salesperson. A talented finish carpenter, woodworker, musician and craftsman, Brady had a gift for creating things with his hands and building meaningful connections with the people around him.
Despite the challenges he faced, Brady showed us what true perseverance, strength and kindness look like. His incredible work ethic, quick wit, sense of humour and ability to make everyone feel welcome left a lasting impression on our team. He faced life with a determination that inspired those around him, often finding humour in the hardest moments. Brady reminded us that strength isn't just about what you can do, but how you show up for others, no matter the circumstances.
To many of us, Brady was so much more than a coworker. He was an inspiration, a friend and a hero. His impact on our team and our community will not be forgotten, and he will be deeply missed.
Our hearts are with Brady’s wife, Hailey, their five children, two foster children, and all who loved him during this incredibly difficult time. We hope they find comfort in knowing just how many lives Brady touched and how much he meant to those around him.
Brady’s funeral will be held Sunday, November 1, at 3:00pm at Dalmeny Bible Church. Zak’s in Warman will close at 1:00pm that day to allow our team to attend and honour a man who meant so much to us.
Rest in peace, Brady. Thank you for the lessons you taught us, the laughter you shared and the example you set. Your legacy will live on in the people you inspired and the lives you made better simply by being part of them ❤️
