𝗪𝗮𝗶𝘁…𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝗼𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸𝘀?

FlatPackBricks takes EchoBoard® off the wall and turns it into something completely unexpected: a modular building system that can be stacked, shifted and reimagined.

Developed by Timothy Leopold Widmer for an ECAL project, the concept shows what happens when acoustic material is treated not just as a surface, but as a playground for new spatial ideas.

𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗮 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸.
𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗹.
𝗔 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗮𝗰𝗼𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻.

And the people agreed: FlatPackBricks is the winner of the ECHOJAZZ Project of the Year 2025 People’s Choice Award.

A big congratulations to Timothy Widmer and ECAL and a huge thank you to everyone who voted.

EchoBoard® reimagined.
Acoustics, built differently.

At the summer solstice - the moment of greatest light - we were reminded that even at full intensity, pausing makes sense. ☀️

Our new article explores why acoustic design is still one of the most underestimated qualities in the workplace - and how this thinking shaped EchoCurtain® Solstice.

𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀.

For Eidg. Forschungsanstalt WSL in Birmensdorf and SLF Schnee- & Lawinenforschung in Davos, Bureau Hindermann turned EchoBoard® into acoustic planters — soft room dividers that bring nature, structure and calm into research-driven workspaces.

That idea made them one of our ECHOJAZZ Project of the Year 2025 winners in Custom Solutions.

Because here, acoustic design doesn’t shout.
It zones gently.
It softens the room.
It supports focus, exchange and wellbeing.

A big thank you to Bureau Hindermann for this inspiring collaboration and for showing how beautifully acoustic materials can be reimagined.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗳 𝗮𝗰𝗼𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲?

At Cerutti Partner Architekten AG in Rothenburg, EchoBoard® has been transformed into a sculptural ceiling feature - inspired by natural forms and designed to bring structure, softness and acoustic comfort into the space.

The result feels like a canopy above the room: calm, organic and quietly powerful. Together with the soft lighting, the feature reads almost like a canopy in bloom.

Not just acoustic performance.
Not just a ceiling.
A custom solution with real architectural presence.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗲𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺?

At REUTER Dein Draußen in Langgöns, lighting and acoustics come together in one sculptural solution.

With EchoLed Orbit® and EchoOrbit®, the ceiling becomes part of the spatial experience: soft light, acoustic comfort and a geometric design language inspired by origami.

The result is more than a functional office feature.
It is atmosphere.
It is focus.
It is acoustic design with visual impact.

At Landis+Gyr in Prague, New Work becomes beautifully tangible: open, warm and flexible, but never chaotic.

With EchoCurtain® as the hero, acoustic room dividers help create soft zones for focus, exchange and retreat while further ECHOJAZZ acoustic solutions support the calm, comfortable “office home” feeling throughout the space.

The result is a workplace that feels human, adaptable and ready for the way we work today.

Bold, expressive and designed to support focus, the acoustic surfaces contribute not only to workplace comfort, but also to the character and atmosphere of the interior.
