Swisspearl Carat – Iconic in all its facets

The “Swisspearl Carat" colour line is the timelessly beautiful and internationally acclaimed classic in fibre cement facade panels.

Each board is finished with a lightly pigmented, translucent surface coating, which now looks even more elegant and refined thanks to a new coating process. The fibre structure of the material remains visible when viewed from close up. With its 20 carefully curated colours the “Carat” colour line also supports high-contrast and expressive designs. Swisspearl was the first manufacturer to launch a through-dyed fibre cement board, which many renowned architects have since used to bring their designs to life.

Located in the pristine wilderness of Montana, Ulery’s Lake Lodge is a private club offering breathtaking views of Lone Mountain. The material palette, featuring wood, stone, steel, and Swisspearl fiber cement panels, was chosen to create coherence throughout the network of cabins while blending with the natural forest colors.

The use of stone and wood echoes Montana’s traditional materials, while steel and Swisspearl panels add a modern touch. Initially selected to reduce costs, Swisspearl panels became a favorite for their pristine installation. The panels extend beyond the exterior facade, integrating seamlessly into the interior, cladding the massive fireplace and double-volume entry.

𝗕𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘁𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮 𝗶𝗻 𝗩𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗲

On the way to the Giardinis, almost every visitor to the 19th International Architecture Exhibition will pass the installation of the Estonian pavilion. Even from a distance, you can see the partially heat-insulated Venetian house clad with Swisspearl facade panels. The contrast between the red plaster and the new facade cladding made of light-colored fiber cement could not be greater. With the installation 'Let me warm you', the Estonian pavilion has succeeded in making a visually strong statement that is visible from afar.

Simply adding thermal insulation to a Venetian house is unthinkable in Venice from an urban design perspective alone. The curators Keiti Lige, Elina Liiva and Helena Männa of the Estonian pavilion use this surprise effect to draw attention to the fact that the renovation of a house must not only serve to reduce energy consumption, but must also have an architectural quality. Refurbishment should also be used as an opportunity to tackle social and spatial challenges. In Estonia, prefabricated buildings are currently being renovated on a large scale in order to achieve the government's ambitious climate targets.

The exhibition inside the pavilion then establishes the context between the installation on the renovation offensive and Estonia's climate targets. It shows the discrepancy between the government's ambitious goals and the needs of the inhabitants and their fears of change.

Interested parties can visit the Estonian pavilion until November 23. The Venice Biennale runs until then.

Swisspearl has supported this contribution with donations in kind.

Intersolar 2025 was a powerful reminder of how fast the world of solar and architectural innovation is evolving — and we’re thrilled to be part of that movement.

We’re especially proud to have presented our perfectly integrated photovoltaic roof and facade system — and to see how much momentum is building around aesthetic solar integration.

A big thank you to everyone who visited our booth, connected with our team, and shared insights on the future of solar architecture and energy-integrated design. Your interest, feedback, and ideas made this fair a real highlight.

𝗪𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝗯𝗯𝗼𝗻 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴
This six-story residential scheme called Stejarii Collection by Artline SRL Architects is located in a deep forest on the outskirts of Bucharest. The building is like a continuous white ribbon that winds its way through the trees. With its inner courtyards, all apartments enjoy views out onto the forest.

The relationship with the exterior landscape is created by means of two types of terrace balconies, some of which are covered and integrated into the volume, while others are generated by the alternating cantilever projections across the different levels. The concept is based on the interplay of simple, rectilinear volumes which
differentiate the housing units and reduce the building to a human scale.
