For the first time this year, we competed not only in the Electrical (EV) but also in the Driverless category (DV) at FSCZ in Most.🇨🇿
After intensive testing between FS Austria and FS Czech – with a strong focus on switching between autonomous and manual driving modes – the excitement was high.
Right on the first day, we were selected as the reference team for technical inspections and received the “Scruti Star” award.🌟

In the static disciplines, we were able to improve our performance, especially in the Business Plan Presentation and in Engineering Design, where we even could secure another win.🏆

Then came the on-track highlights: In the DV category, we celebrated a narrow victory in Skidpad and a strong run in Acceleration. Technical issues in DV AutoX and Trackdrive cost us valuable points, but in the manual competition we struck back impressively: with a dominant win in Endurance and further top results in Acceleration and EV AutoX, we finally secured 2nd place overall.
Now we are at the final competition in Germany with full momentum! 🔥

Formula Student Austria 2025🇦🇹

Right after the competition in Switzerland, we headed to Austria for our next challenge. After a long drive, we arrived at the iconic Red Bull Ring in Spielberg and set up our camp – including our shared team tent, which doubled as both a workshop and meeting space during the first days ⛺ .

The technical inspections went smoothly, and we successfully passed all stages of scrutineering on the first attempt. In the dynamic events, we secured a 1𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 2𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐗, securing a strong starting position for the Endurance event. Additionally, we reclaimed the 1𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭, highlighting our team's engineering excellence 🧾 .

The Endurance race started off with great momentum – including setting the fastest lap of the day – but unfortunately came to a premature end on lap 13 due to a technical issue. A DNF meant missing out on valuable points and resulted in a final overall ranking of P16.

Despite the setback, we’re using the experience to move forward. With a short break at home, our focus now shifts to testing our autonomous systems, as the upcoming event in the Czech Republic will feature both driverless and manual disciplines.

Congratulations to Joanneum Graz Racing for the home win, Rennteam Uni Stuttgart e.V. for the runner up and our friends Dynamis PRC for an incredible performance completing the podium.

Our final results of FSA 2025:

🥇 Engineering Design
🥇 Acceleration
🥈 AutoX

5th Skidpad
20th Business Plan Presentation
26th Cost and Manufacturing

Formula Student Switzerland 2025🇨🇭

Our 2025 event season began right where we feel most at home — in the stunning Valais, at the Formula Student Switzerland in Goms. The scenery was charming, but the schedule was tough: early mornings, cold tents and long days full of scrutineering, presentations and fine-tuning our car at 1350 metres altitude. 🗻

Over the course of the event, we were thrilled to take first place in several key disciplines, including Endurance, Efficiency, Engineering Design, and Acceleration. 🏎️ We also secured second place in AutoX and Cost & Manufacturing, and rounded things off with a third-place finish in the Skidpad. All those achievements in the individual disciplines led to the first overall victory of aurona! 🏆

From our first laps on the airfield in Ulrichen to the final endurance run, it was a weekend full of challenges and small victories. We learned a lot, worked hard as a team, and came away proud of what we achieved — both on and off the track.

We are already at the next event in Austria, hopefully continuing our success.

Race week is here! 🏁
This week, we kick off our 2025 season at our first competition and almost a home race: Formula Student Switzerland! 🇨🇭

At FS events, it's not just the dynamic performance on track that counts – the static disciplines like Engineering Design and Business Plan are just as important for the overall result.

Earlier this year, we had the honor of participating in the Season Kick-Off at , where we were externally judged in both Engineering Design and Business Plan. A great opportunity to get valuable feedback and prepare for competition!
Now it’s time to put all our training into action – let’s race! 🔧📊🏎️

Two weeks ago, over 300 guests, including sponsors, friends, family and supporters, joined us for the official unveiling of aurona.🏎

The evening featured a technical presentation, the car’s unveiling, a relaxed apéro and an exciting live showrun to close the night. We also welcomed a special guest: Formula E Driver Sébastien Buemi came by and enjoyed this memorable evening just as we did. It was a proud moment for the entire team to finally share the result of months of dedication and hard work.🎉

This event marked a significant milestone for AMZ Racing, celebrating not only aurona’s debut but also the incredible teamwork and commitment behind it.

With the rollout complete, we’ve now entered an intensive testing phase as we prepare for our first competition: Formula Student Switzerland, kicking off on 11th of July 2025.🗓

We’re truly grateful to everyone who has supported us along the way.🙏🏻

Welcome to the AMZ family, 𝘢𝘶𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘢!

We are thrilled to present you the name of the 18th car of AMZ.

Continuing our tradition of naming our cars after Swiss mountain peaks, aurona is inspired by the majestic Punta d'Aurona, which lies on the border between the canton of Ticino and the canton of Valais, standing at 2,922 meters above sea level. Our committed team, made up of students from and , has already embarked on the detailed and intensive process of developing this new prototype.

We are excited to reveal 𝘢𝘶𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘢 to you next spring. In the meantime, stay tuned for updates and a behind-the-scenes look into our ongoing progress!

🇩🇪 Formula Student Germany 2024 🇩🇪

We are overall EV & DC winners at FSG 2024!

We are incredibly proud to announce that we have won the electric and driverless cups at Formula Student Germany 2024 at the Hockenheimring. This amazing achievement comes only two weeks after the double victory at FSEast 2024.

The technical inspections were once again completed quickly, giving us crucial time to prepare for the dynamic events while simultaneously competing in the static disciplines. We were able to win EV Engineering Design, while scoring decent points in the other static disciplines.

While we got close several times on Thursday and Friday, our first dynamic wins came Saturday with Trackdrive and EV Autocross. On Sunday, we competed in a thrilling wet final 5 race in the EV Endurance event. Our tire choice didn’t pay off, but the time we set still earned us lots of points both in the Endurance and Efficiency disciplines.

The second award ceremony marked the brightest highlight of our season, as we were declared overall winners in the electric class with 886.23/1000 points, and of the driverless cup with 500.22/600 points. This incredible achievement concludes the most successful season in association history with five overall victories (3 x EV and 2 x DV).

We have many people to thank for their support in this incredible year, from our sponsors to our alumni and many more. The achievements of this season would not have been possible without you. Additionally, we want to thank the team at for all their work and for giving us and the other 78 teams this platform to compete. And finally, to all the teams that we have encountered on track this season, thank you for this amazing year of great competition. We can’t wait to see you on track again next year!
