How to judge and deal with these abnormal phenomena of the transformer? (part 6)
(II) Gas protection action (tripping)
When the gas protection action of the transformer trips, the following inspections and treatments should be performed:
a) Collect the gas of the gas relay for chromatographic analysis. If there is no gas, check whether the insulation of the secondary circuit and the terminal and lead of the gas relay is good.
b) Check whether the oil level, oil temperature, and oil color have changed;
c) Check whether the explosion-proof pipe has broken and sprayed oil;
d) Check whether the transformer shell has deformed and whether the weld has opened and sprayed oil.
e) If no abnormality is found after inspection, and it is confirmed that the malfunction is caused by a secondary circuit fault, the gas protection signal can be connected or withdrawn when the differential protection and overcurrent protection are put into operation, and power can be sent once, and monitoring should be strengthened.
f) If there is gas in the gas relay or there are problems with the above items a, b, c, and d, a power outage inspection and corresponding treatment should be carried out, and the operation can be put into operation after the inspection test is qualified.
(III) Transformer overcurrent protection action
When the transformer overcurrent protection action trips, the following inspections and treatments should be performed:
a) Check whether the busbar and the equipment on the busbar are short-circuited or have debris;
b) Check whether the transformer's several measuring devices are short-circuited;
c) Check whether the low-voltage side protection is activated and whether the protection of each line is activated.
d) When it is confirmed that the busbar has no power, the lines carried by the busbar should be pulled apart.
e) If it is a busbar fault, consider switching the busbar or transferring the load.
f) When it is confirmed that it is an over-level trip, the on-duty dispatcher should be contacted and power should be sent once.
g) When the power supply test is good, find out the faulty line one by one.
h) If it is caused by the circuit, power can be sent only after the fault factor is eliminated.
