When a warehouse runs out of room, the first thing people do is squeeze the aisles.
But a narrow aisle does not save space — it costs time. Forklifts slow down, a turn takes three movements instead of one, and every retrieval starts taking minutes instead of seconds.
Before adding another row of racking, measure the aisle you already have. The right width depends on your truck, the length of your load, and how often material moves.
The cheapest extra space is usually the space you already own.
