Product Videos Alone Won’t Grow Your Smart Lock Business
There is another type of vertical content that smart lock sellers should create: product introduction videos.
You might say:
“We’ve been making this kind of video for a long time, but the results aren’t obvious. It only helps existing target customers compare products. It doesn’t really attract new followers.”
You are right. Product introduction videos are often too direct, too single-purpose, and too dry. Even for target customers, they lack attraction and don’t create enough desire to buy. If you only make this type of vertical content, the result will probably disappoint you. This may be one of the reasons why you feel stuck or even doubt social media itself.
But the solution is not to stop posting product content. The solution is to make your social media account more like a real person, not a robot.
If your account only posts product introductions, it becomes a cold, automated sales machine. The question is: would you make friends with a robot?
There is a well-known Chinese saying:
“Do one business deal, make one friend.”
This is very wise. We are not only doing business; we are also building relationships. When people trust you as a person, business becomes easier. And since you are building a relationship, you should never deceive people. You should be honest, keep your promises, and run your business with a clear conscience. Only then can you close deals and grow in the long run.
In the end, the most important problem in sales is trust. When someone truly trusts you, your business becomes much easier. Of course, this does not mean creating fake trust. It means becoming someone who is actually trustworthy.
So the question becomes: how do you build trust with target customers through social media?
That requires several types of vertical content that make your account look rich, authentic, and emotionally connected.
We will talk about those specific content directions in the next post.
