A new retention basin is taking shape at Janské Lázně ski resort, Czechia. 🚀

Right below the resort’s base station, a 15,000 m³ retention basin is currently under construction. It will secure the water supply for technical snowmaking, enabling coverage of up to 6 km of slopes right at the start of the ski season. 🎿 Plus, the basin’s surface will also provide parking for 80 vehicles.

The team from Stavirezek is relying on Doka Czechia’s solutions - tailored to meet the complex geometry and alpine conditions on site.

What does it take to build a 72-story skyscraper in the middle of Manhattan? 🏙️

Construction is progressing steadily at 989 6th Avenue, right in the heart of New York City - just steps from the Empire State Building.

With a uniquely curved design, extremely tight site conditions (including just 9 inches of clearance to the neighboring structure), a 3-day cycle schedule and demanding on-site logistics, this high-rise project presents a demanding environment for everyone on site.

To keep pace with the required 3-day cycle time, general contractor Precise Construction Contracting Inc. turned to Doka USA for a customized formwork solution. For the core and exterior shear walls, the team implemented Frami formwork combined with Xclimb 60 platforms to allow for efficient, crane-independent progress. Where space is extremely limited, the Frami S Blind-Side wall form system proved to be the right solution in navigating the tight spatial constraints. 🏗️

Soon, our protection screens will further enhance safety as the structure continues its rapid climb toward completion in 2026.

In the north of Trier, the moselclinic is taking shape – a state-of-the-art center for orthopaedics, trauma surgery and sports medicine.
The structural phase was scheduled for completion in just five months – an ambitious timeline for the Orthopaedicum Trier project. Weiler Bau GmbH & Co. KG brought Doka on board as their formwork partner, with the goal of ensuring on-time progress through smart system selection and digital support.

The team relied on the new 𝗗𝗼𝗸𝗮𝗫𝗱𝗲𝗸 𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗹 𝗳𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 – lightweight, ergonomic and designed down to the smallest detail. Whether during forming or stripping: DokaXdek brought true efficiency to the site, enabling high-speed cycling even under tight time constraints.

The hardware was complemented by smart software: 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗲, our real-time concrete monitoring system, became the digital nerve center on site. Concrete strength development was tracked live, and the exact stripping time was determined based on data. This ensured that construction progressed not only quickly, but also strategically and with full control at all times.

When it comes to the cantilever refurbishment of the railway bridge over the Jagst near Crailsheim (Baden-Württemberg), a shoring solution is needed that’s not only strong, but also flood-resistant. The goal: keep everything above the high-water mark – without extra supports in the river. 💦🚫
PORR Deutschland relies on the experts at Doka – and they, in turn, rely on their modular engineering kit 𝗗𝗼𝗸𝗮 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗞𝗶𝘁. Thanks to its modular design, Doka UniKit adapts flexibly to local site conditions. The highlight? All loads from concreting are transferred through the existing scour protection foundations. UniKit primary beams are bolted together to create platforms that widen the bearing surface – forming the base for UniKit 480 towers with HEB600 secondary beams.

Now everything’s good to go. The smart and straightforward shoring solution spans seven fields across the 75 m bridge – making sure everything stays solid and, most importantly, dry during the refurbishment.

𝗛𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗽, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝘂𝗽 – 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗼𝗸𝗮 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗞𝗶𝘁.🎯
The construction of a new beam bridge over the Große Aue in Wagenfeld (Niedersachsen) required technical finesse: the 28.60 m long structure consists of three spans. The challenge: the formwork had to be designed without support in the middle, the river section.

Konrad Leymann GmbH & Co. KG brought Doka on board - with the aim of creating a strong and compact structure. The result was a customized shoring solution consisting of UniKit primary and secondary beams HEB600 and HEB400 extensions. The loads were transferred to the bridge piers via a load-bearing and lowerable suspension structure - completely without ground contact. Thanks to the use of lowering wedges, the shoring could be easily removed again after concreting.

Doka UniKit 🧰 – the universal engineering kit for heavy loads – once again proved how even complex requirements can be implemented systematically and efficiently. Because for us, demanding solutions are standard. ✅

How do you bridge a 22-meter span without intermediate supports? 🤔

As part of the new N16 Tavannes-Bözingenfeld TP2 bridge construction in the Canton of Bern, the Swiss Federal Roads Office (OFROU) and contractor Walo Bertschinger AG are relying on Doka’s system expertise – with Doka UniKit, the universal engineering kit for heavy loads, playing a central role in delivering flexibility and efficiency under complex site conditions. 🏗️

Thanks to the high load-bearing capacity of the Doka UniKit secondary beams, seven bridge spans of up to 22 meters in length were realized without any need for intermediate supports. Combined with fast assembly, modular flexibility and reduced crane requirements, Doka UniKit proved to be the ideal solution for this challenging infrastructure project.

Even under tight spatial constraints, just-in-time logistics and Doka UniKit’s plug-and-play principle helped keep the project on track - a prime example of how our solutions make it work when it really matters.

More than 700 tons of Doka UniKit material have already been deployed. Following completion of the first bridge, the same equipment will be reused – first as temporary shoring for the dismantling of the existing structure, and then for the construction of a second bridge. 🌉
