Work out how much money is sitting in your workshop's offcut skip this week. Price it as oak.
When you buy standard sizes and trim them yourself, you pay twice. Once for the wood that ends up inside the product, and once for the wood that ends up on the floor. That second one never shows on an invoice, but you pay it all the same.
And the more hardwood is worth, the heavier it gets.
Sawing to order changes the starting point. If we know what section you need, the log is opened with it in mind, and what comes off the saw already has your dimensions on it.
Less handling in your workshop, fewer machine hours and less oak in the skip.
It's one of those advantages that don't show in the price per cubic metre and do show at the end of the month.
Tell us what sizes you get through and in what quantities, and we'll take a look 👇
