Holiday cottage available to rent this Easter.

Easter is well celebrated in Belabre which is situated in La Brenne National Park to the very south of the Loire valley. Unfortunately due to work commitments we won't make it out to France this year meaning the house is available to rent for the Easter holidays.

The fun starts on good Friday, last year they had a very entertaining magic man. The fair is in the square all weekend and on Sunday there is an Easter egg hunt and parade which is charming. The restaurant has special menus with Bavette being a favourite on Sunday along with a delicious local pate washed down with a carafe of very reasonably priced vin rouge what's not to like! The streets fill with market traders on Easter Monday for a huge Brocant we have spotted anything and everything for sale from penny farthings to false teeth !!?? Dear Lucy
Just wanted to say a huge thank you for letting us stay in your gorgeous house in Belabre. We all had a fantastic time going to the patisserie and casino supermarket and bar in the square, canoeing down the river, swimming in the lake at Chaillac and Etang de Belbouche, eating on a roof top terrace in Angles Sur L'Anglin just gorgeous. The tourist office was very helpful and we bought a fishing permit from them so the children could fish on the river. We visited Chateau de Guillame and had the lady all to ourselves as no one else was there for our tour. My French has really been tested but great that everyone has been accepting of my attempts and I have really enjoyed the fact that it's all French here very authentic, we've all commented on the lack of hearing English voices and not having tourist shops. Your house was immaculate with lovely comfy beds and fresh quality bedding, so quiet and peaceful sitting in the courtyard at night reading and drinking wine. We are in St.Benoit du Sault this week, we haven't had as good weather but still exploring and enjoying the rest from all our hectic schedules in Uk.
