'What documents do you need?'.

We've put together a handy little checklist of documents that you will need to help you prepare for your appointment and mortgage application:

Breaking News!!!

Its looking like we will be seeing what is likely to be the biggest overhaul to the housing market in our countryโ€™s history! Today it was announced that buying or selling a home will be faster, cheaper and easier under common sense changes!

Some of the things proposed are:
- Estate Agents needing mandatory qualifications and Code of Practice to ensure high standards are met (at the moment they are unregulated, yet they form a vital role in the home buying process)
- Property information upfront - to stop any nasty surprises! This is so needed as itโ€™s often a cause of chains breaking down and people wasting money, time and effort.
- Binding contracts to stop people walking away from agreements! This is a BIG one! And could help halve the number of failed transactions, avoiding heartbreak and stress for hard working people
- Families could see clear side by side information on estate agents and conveyancers including their track record and experience
- Digital tools and tech will be enabled to speed up the home buying process ๐Ÿ’ป

This follows the Housing Secetaryโ€™s latest pledge to โ€œBuild baby buildโ€ ๐Ÿก which has seen a 29% increase in housing starts compared to this time last year.

Itโ€™s believed that these changes could shave around a month of the process and add further protection for both buyers and sellers
