We are a well-established, family-run Building Suppliers who are actively seeking an Sales Office Manager to join their team based in Bolton, United Kingdom.
The main purpose of this role is to organise and coordinate administration duties and office procedures within your specific division. Your role is to create and maintain a pleasant work environment, ensuring high levels of organisational effectiveness, and communication. Sales Office manager duties and responsibilities include scheduling deliveries and making delivery notes, making construction material supplies arrangements, and providing general administrative support to colleagues and management. Previous experience as a Sales Office Manager within the building sector would be an advantage. A successful Office Manager should also have experience with a variety of till counter software (email tools, spreadsheets, store inventory and databases) and be able to accurately handle administrative duties. Ultimately, the Sales Office Manager should be able to ensure the smooth running of the office and help to improve company procedures and day- to-day operation.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Devising/maintaining office systems, including store inventories and data management with filing
• Producing documents, briefing papers, reports, minutes
• Organising and chairing meetings
• Monitor KPI’s and liaise with Managing Director to ensure Store’s intake
• Produce reports for senior management
• Liaising with clients, suppliers and other staff and responding to their enquiries and challenges in a
timely manner
• Point person for maintenance, mailing, shipping, supplies, equipment, bills and errands
• Organize and schedule material deliveries
• Partner with HR to maintain office policies as necessary
• Manage relationships with vendors, service providers and landlord, ensuring that all items are invoiced
and paid on time
• Manage contract and price negotiations with office vendors, service providers and office lease
• Provide general support to visitors.
• Responsible for developing and implementing office policies by setting up procedures and standards to guide the operation of the office
• Ensure that results are measured against standards, while making necessary changes along the way
• Allocate tasks and assignments to subordinates and monitor their performance
• Determine current trends and provide a review to management to act on
• Coach, mentor and discipline office staff
• Maintain a safe and secure working environment

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• GCSE but is possible with other academic qualifications
• Driving License
• Professional qualifications are available in some areas of work.

ADDITIONAL NOTES
• Monday - Saturday with flexible hours based on a contracted 42.5 hour working week
