The Jim Schofield memorial shield 2026

Massive thank you to the 37 competitors in memory of Jim, the fishing was generally very good and the weather held out too! £208.50 raised for cancer research on the day.

No surprise that the winner again was that man Andy Kyte, for the third time!

It’s that time of year again where we remember our old pal Jim lad! The winner gets to keep the shield for a year until the match the following year(on the understanding it is returned engraved) if they wish to. FISHERY CLOSURE

Due to the extreme wether forecast this week, Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th June 2026 we will be closing, and plan to reopen Friday 26th.

This year the weather has been so inconsistent which can cause stress to the fish.

We appreciate this isn’t ideal, it’s not something we do flippantly but feel it’s necessary on this occasion.
