🏡 NEW-BUILD HOMEOWNERS & FLOORING FITTERS — HERE’S A PROBLEM THAT’S EASY TO OVERLOOK!

💧 YOUR NEW FLOOR MIGHT LOOK DRY… BUT IS IT REALLY READY FOR LVT?

When you move into a new-build or start a flooring installation, moisture in the floor is probably the last thing on your mind.

But here's the problem…

Concrete and screed can retain moisture from the construction process for months after being laid. And just because the surface looks dry doesn't mean the floor is ready for your new luxury vinyl tiles (LVT).

⚠️ WHY DOES THIS MATTER?

LVT is relatively impermeable, meaning moisture can't easily escape through the finished floor.

If the screed is too wet when the flooring is installed, excess moisture can affect the adhesive, potentially causing:

❌ Flooring to lift or come loose
❌ Bubbles and loose edges
❌ Adhesive failure and costly remedial work

The frustrating part? You might not realise there's a problem until after your beautiful new floor has been fitted.
