We are proud to support the Peak District National Park through sponsorship of community conservation initiatives, with Buxton Lime teams also taking part in volunteering activities throughout the year.
Meet Elspeth Robinson, Volunteering Conservation Ranger at the Peak District National Park Authority. Elspeth leads volunteering opportunities across the Park's 555 square miles, working with schools, SEND groups, corporate teams, regular volunteers and the Seeds of Change programme.
From drystone walling and gate installation to tree planting, hedge-laying and invasive species removal, her work helps protect and enhance the Peak District for future generations. Elspeth also supports volunteer leaders, mentors trainees and has developed a skills programme for young volunteers aged 18-26, helping them gain valuable conservation and practical skills.
We are delighted to play a part in supporting these initiatives, both through sponsorship and by encouraging colleagues to get involved in hands-on volunteering projects that make a lasting difference to our surroundings. 🌿
