You’ve got the paint on the wall… now it’s time to clean the sprayer! 😂

Here’s a quick look at how I clean through the Ultra after spraying. 💦🎨

And honestly, this is the bit you CANNOT afford to skip.

A few minutes cleaning it properly after every job can save you a lot of hassle later. Graco themselves recommend proper cleaning after every use to prevent material hardening and damage.

💡 My rule:
Spray it → clean it → put it away ready for the next job.

Don’t be that person who finishes spraying on Friday and leaves the machine until Monday… 😳😂

🎨 ULTRA CORDLESS AIRLESS SPRAYER — QUICK LOOK! 🔥

We’re giving you a very quick look at the Graco Ultra — from getting it set up to putting some paint through it and seeing what it can do. 👀

This is a proper handheld cordless airless, powered by the DEWALT XR battery system, with a Triax triple-piston pump and up to 2,000 PSI. It’s designed for getting those smaller jobs sprayed quickly without dragging out a bigger machine. 💪

TOOL TIP OF THE DAY! 🔧⚡

This Makita grinder wouldn’t take a 5.0Ah battery because of the way the battery fitting is designed.

So… being The Tool Medic, we know a trick or two. 😂

👉 Knock out the small lug on the tool’s battery slot and suddenly…

BOSHHH 💥 — the Bosch 5.0Ah battery fits and works! 🔋😂

Not a repair this time — just a handy little tool tip that might save someone from thinking their battery or grinder is knackered.

⚠️ Obviously, only do this if you know exactly what you’re modifying and understand the battery/tool compatibility and safety implications. Different 18V battery platforms aren’t officially interchangeable just because they have the same nominal voltage. Bosch, for example, has separate professional and DIY 18V systems with different compatibility requirements.

🔧 HILTI — CUTTING OUT? 👀

This Hilti kept cutting out, so we got it on the bench and started fault finding.

Turns out the problem was nothing major — just a loose connection! 🔌

We stripped the cable back, sorted the connection and rejoined it properly. 💪

And this is exactly where the KNIPEX 6-in-1 pliers shine! 🔥

✂️ Cut the cable
🔪 Strip the insulation
🔧 Prepare the conductors
🗜️ Crimp bootlace ferrules
…and plenty more!

One pair of pliers doing multiple jobs — perfect for repairs like this.

Connection sorted, Hilti tested and it’s BACK TO WORKING AS IT SHOULD! 💪🔧

Big shoutout to for making tools that actually earn their place in the toolbox. 👊

🔧 FESTOOL CTL MINI — NO POWER! ⚡

This little Festool came in with absolutely no power… so we got it on the bench and started fault finding. 🔍

Turns out the problem was a broken power cable! 😬

We cut the damaged section off, rejoined the cable properly, tested everything over and over…

💥 BACK TO WORK!

No need for a new vacuum when the fault can be repaired. 👌

Another tool saved from the scrap pile! ♻️🔧
