This is the beginning of us getting a new skatepark built at Bitts Park, it’s not going to be easy or quick. There is strength in numbers though! And that’s why I’ve made a petition for you to sign.

It’s going to be hard but it’s not impossible to get a new park, we’re making a start with this petition.

So make sure to share it far and wide and follow us along in this journey!

Right!! Halloween Skate Jam 🛹🎃👻

We’ve had to change to Hammonds Pond due to the derigging of the fire show on Sunday!

Let’s have blast, the weather is meant to be on our side but it won’t stop us even if it isn’t! Rain won’t dampen our spirits.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner skater or you’re all welcome!

We’re gonna bring music, vibes, food and challenges!

Let’s all have fun and make a show of it!

I recently got asked how’s it going with regards to the shop?

Do you know what I said? I’m the skintest I’ve ever been but I wouldn’t change it for the world!

We always joke we started with nothing and we still have nothing.

It’s hard to choose 20 photos when there is so many more I want to share that represent what running this shop is.

There’s been laughs, there’s been drama, there’s been slips trips and falls, we’ve had messages of support from all around the world and we’ve got to meet artists, pros, skateboard archivists and more along the way.

All of this has been made possible with this useless wooden toy!

Everyone single one of you are what keep me going and striving for more! Without you all this wouldn’t be possible.

Running a skate shop in a small northern city with the odds stacked against us is hard but we’re doing it!

So big up yourselves I can’t wait to see you all on Sunday!!

Thank you to Cumberland Council for carrying out some repointing work on the ramps. It’s a shame the weather isn’t on our side today!

What would like to happen to the skatepark if you had an unlimited budget? Would@you make it bigger? What obstacles would you have?

Do your bearings sound like you’re eating a bag of malteasers? Or have they seized up from rust?

Then make sure you come in and give us a visit because we have a selection of skateboard bearings in store and available for you to buy. We also have bearing cleaners and bearing oil if you want to maintain your own.

Cumberland Council said the skatepark is inspected regularly.

I know there is a strong roller skate/quad skate/roller derby scene in Carlisle and the wider area.

It’s not something we specialise in or have much knowledge of, but I’ve sent up an account with a new distributor who sell skate stuff.

So we can now offer roller skates including parts such as wheels, toe stops, boots, plates etc.

If there is any particular brands etc you’re after I can look at being able to source these for you.
