Coleraine Footfall Soars Following National Brick Events Weekend!

Official figures from Causeway Coast & Glens Borough Council reveal that Coleraine recorded a 10.3% increase in footfall compared with the same week in 2025, against just 0.9% growth across Northern Ireland, 4.3% across the UK High Street Index and 1.2% across the UK overall.

Jonny Fielding, Chairman of Coleraine Connect, said: “These figures are absolutely fantastic for Coleraine and demonstrate exactly why we are investing in major events that give people a reason to come into our town. At a time when high streets across the country are facing challenges, Coleraine is outperforming both Northern Ireland and UK averages, and that is something we should be incredibly proud of."

BASALTsix are delighted to continue our support for junior running on the Causeway Coast! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

Our sponsorship of Coleraine Grammar Cross Country and Athletics continues into the new term, and we’re also delighted that this support includes access to both floodlit grass and track facilities for the Ballymena & Antrim AC Causeway Coast training group, coached by Alistair Bratten.

Sessions are Tuesday & Thursday evenings starting at 5.45 and open to all junior runners from P5 upwards, providing a fantastic opportunity for young athletes of all abilities to develop their running, build confidence and enjoy training in a supportive environment.

We’re proud to play a part in developing young athletic talent and creating opportunities for junior runners across the Causeway Coast.

Thank you again to Coleraine Grammar for use of their facilities.
