We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our dynamic team on Sundays. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for customer service. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the customer experience, driving sales, and supporting the overall operations of our retail environment.
As mentioned this is a Sunday vacancy only so all applicants need to be available between 10am and 4pm.
Duties
Assist customers with product inquiries and recommendations to enhance their shopping experience.
Engage in upselling techniques to maximise sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Maintain an organised sales floor, ensuring products are displayed attractively.
Handle transactions accurately, utilising basic maths skills for processing payments and managing cash registers.
Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when responding to customer calls and queries.
Communicate effectively with team members and customers, fostering a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
Support promotional activities and assist in the implementation of marketing strategies.
Requirements
Previous experience in a retail or sales environment is preferred but not essential.
Basic maths proficiency for handling transactions.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer engagement.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Availability to work on a Sunday.
The applicant also needs to be physically fit. There is an amount of heavy lifting involved i.e including but not limited to 25kg salt into cars and moving large gas cylinders.
