From the kitchen table to PlayBox Console Services 🎮🔧
Sometimes it’s good to look back at where you started.
6½ years ago, PlayBox was literally a kitchen table.
A PS4, a screwdriver, a few basic tools and a willingness to learn. No workshop. No expensive equipment. No wall full of parts. Just repairing consoles and controllers wherever there was enough space to work.
Then the kitchen table started filling up…
A few more tools became a soldering station.
A basic magnifier became a microscope.
A handful of spare parts became drawers and drawers of components.
One console waiting for repair became stacks of them.
And eventually the kitchen table wasn't going to cut it anymore. 😂
Fast forward 6½ years and that little setup has grown into a fully equipped PlayBox workshop carrying out everything from everyday console and controller repairs to component-level motherboard work, microsoldering and repairs for customers and other businesses across the country.
There's been a ridiculous amount of learning, mistakes, late nights, investment and hard graft between the first picture and the last one.
And we're still learning. Still investing. Still improving.
I'm genuinely proud of what PlayBox has become, but looking through these old photos has reminded me that I'm probably even more proud of how it got here.
No big investment.
No overnight success.
Just one repair, one new skill and one new piece of equipment at a time.
From repairing my sons PS4 pro on the kitchen table to PlayBox Console Services, its been unreal
What a journey it's been so far. 💚🎮🔧
And we're nowhere near finished yet.
