Vampires of Ely, you've been warned. 🧛

Will "Van-man Helsing" is armed with a Roughneck fencing maul and a pointed post, and he's not afraid to use them.

For everyone else: pointed posts and fencing mauls are in stock, and they work just as well on a paddock fence as they do the undead.

Fence come down at the weekend? 🌬️

We've got panels in stock and ready to go. They didn't come off a lorry from the other end of the country (or world), either. Sean made them, right here in Witcham. That's him on the right looking pleased with himself, and rightly so, he does an excellent job.

Posts, post mix and gravel boards are in too. Or Durapost, if you'd rather it stayed up next time.

Open until 5 today. Delivery available, charges apply.

Paul's putting up his first ever fence, so Will's talking him through it: how many posts, what sort of post to use, how much post mix, and the bits people always forget.

Sean is... supervising.

Never done it before either? Come and ask. We'd rather spend ten minutes at the counter with you giving some advice than have you come back for the bits you missed.

Good luck, Paul! Send us a photo when it's up.

Our marketing lady said we need some posts putting up on social media.

So we sent her this.

Round, pointed, square or sawn, treated and ready to go in the ground. If it holds up a fence, it’s in our yard in Witcham.

Apparently this isn't quite what she meant. These are the only sort of posts we're any good at putting up đź‘Ť

Lovely job from Sutton Grassroots Garden Services . Pickets, panels, gates and posts from our yard, finished properly. Thanks for the shout-out, always good to see where our timber ends up đź‘Ť

Wet, windy and grim out there. Proper fire-lighting weather.

HeatBriqs are in stock: 100% Scottish spruce, no glue or additives, and they light without kindling. They burn for longer than logs and stack neatly in the shed, so no wrestling a soggy log pile in the rain.

Right, confession time: running a fencing yard leaves very little time for social media. Our page has been about as active as a fence post. So we’ve done something about it. We’ve teamed up with Jo from Emerald Frog Marketing , who’ll be taking the reins very soon to fix that.

This is the last post we’re allowed to do on our own. Jo’s taking the keys shortly. Stick around, there’s plenty coming.

If you need us, we'll be in the yard.
