A family run plant & tool hire business across the UK with 40 years of experience behind us.

A family business with almost 40 years of experience behind us, we have grown beyond recognition since our humble beginnings in the garden shed back in 1981! Since then we have moved to our current site in Invincible Road, Farnborough, opened a second branch in Guildford and taken over Action Digging Services. We are constantly looking to expand and update our range of products and have recently purchased new scissor lifts, boom lifts and track chippers, and added 8 tonne diggers to our fleet. Having been known as Farnborough Tool Hire for the past 30 years, we recently rebranded the company as FTH Hire Group to reflect the growth in the company and our vision for the future. FTH Hire Group supply hundreds of different product lines to tradesman, contractors and craftsman, as well as to the general public. Our hire range includes everything from drills to cement mixers, sanders to scaffolding towers and mowers to dumpers and we also stock a great range of consumables. We are able to offer a competitively priced, flexible delivery and collection service, please ask for prices. We approach our business with a sense of dedication and pride ourselves on the loyalty of our customers, many of whom keep coming back for the same competitive pricing and peerless after-sales support that they have come to expect. At FTH Hire Group we want our wealth of experience to work for you and pride ourselves on providing a personal service, backed by detailed technical and safety advice. All of our tools and plant are of the best quality and maintained to the highest standards by our in-house workshop team. We are constantly monitoring our pricing and stock levels to ensure that we can offer the best possible value for money and reliable service across our range of tools, plant and consumables. Ordering from FTH Hire Group is so easy – you can contact us through our website, by email or telephone or call into one of our branches where our experienced and friendly staff will be happy to discuss your requirements and offer advice where needed. There is no minimum order, and we accept most major credit & debit cards. We can also offer the convenience of a 30 Day Account, subject to status, just call in for an application form.

Happy 7th anniversary to our Maidstone depot! 🎉

In October 2019, FTH Hire Group expanded into Kent with the acquisition of Contractors Equipment Hire (CEH) in Aylesford, Maidstone.

Like us, CEH was an independent hire company, with a strong local reputation and a large range of plant and tools. It was a perfect fit. We soon began investing in stock, the hire fleet and transport vehicles, and growing the fantastic team already in place, who had helped build that reputation.

This is part of our 45th anniversary celebrations, looking back at our journey of growth and success: new sites, new faces, new equipment.

We're still on the same site at Beddow Way, Aylesford, Kent, ME20 7BT, serving the whole county with hire equipment, with excellent links across Kent and to customers working in the capital.

A huge thank you to our loyal customers who stayed with us from the CEH days, and to everyone we've supported along the way. 🙌

Our excavators are seriously versatile machines. Their natural habitat is the construction site, digging and moving earth, but with the right attachment, an excavator can also be put to excellent use cutting back hedgerows.

In fact, using an excavator can give you long cutting reach, excellent maneuverability in tight spaces, and better control over steep banks or tall hedges compared to traditional tractors.

Contact your local hire hub for more information, whatever your application!

Always good to keep FTH in the frame 😉

Fantastic camera work from our team, capturing the progress on this large landscaping job which we’re lucky to support with our excavators and dumpers.

Contact your local hire hub if you’re looking for quality reliable plant, tool and equipment for hire, and local team on hand to ensure it all runs smoothly.

At our Swansea hire hub, our team is proud to support local builders, contractors and tradespeople. Feedback from our customers shows us what that means on the ground.

That's the value FTH brings to our customers in Wales:

Behind the scenes, new vehicles getting the FTH look!

We're fitting graphics to our latest batch of transport vehicles, which will soon join our hire hub network across England, Scotland and Wales.

These four 7.5T Fuso Canters strengthen our transport capability ahead of a busy Q4. Alongside reliable equipment, delivering to site on time, as promised, is a key reason customers choose FTH as their hire supply partner.

A big thank you to Northside Truck & Van for supplying the vehicles and to GRS Fleet Graphics Ltd for the new decals. 🙌

Anyone can quote you a price. At FTH Hire Group, we'd rather show you the value.

Every hire comes with more than the machine. It's the reliability of equipment that arrives on time and ready to work, the speed that keeps your programme on track, and a team behind you that shows up when it counts.
