Denizen Works sought to make 100 Acre Wood appear hewn from rock, drawing inspiration from Basque sculptor Eduardo Chillida. The massing evokes the castle ruins prevalent across Scotland, while the house, nestled into a hollow in the landscape, appears to emerge naturally from the ground.

Inside, the space is softened with Demi-Rustic Clay plaster in a warm, earth-like tone, infused with golden mica specks that create a subtle shimmer reminiscent of natural rock formations, continuing the mineral quality of the scheme.

The refurbishment of Penhaligon’s flagship boutique on London’s Regent Street celebrates the heritage fragrance house’s 155-year legacy through British craftsmanship, luxurious finishes and contemporary design. Designed by Michaelis Boyd, the boutique draws on Penhaligon’s origins as a barber shop founded in 1870, with apothecary-inspired joinery and bespoke pieces by leading British makers.

Working closely with the architects and brand team, Clayworks developed a bespoke Tadelakt plaster, applied across the walls and ceilings in Penhaligon’s signature William’s Green, named after the company’s founder.

Four projects exploring the depth of our brown clay plaster shades.

Grounded, calming, and quietly luxurious, the beauty of this colour in our natural finishes is only enhanced by its texture - soft variation, depth, and the sense of being embraced by earth.

Our architectural journey through Copenhagen and beyond takes us up to Louisiana Museum of Modern Art. A trek into Denmark’s second largest forest reveals a timber pavilion that challenges what an educational space should look and feel like, while a series of architectural interventions in Naturpark Amager weave together function, landscape, and storytelling to create a striking visual narrative.

Clayworks Raked finish is shaped by hand during application, creating a directional texture that captures light and shadow across the surface.

The process leaves visible traces of its handmade nature across the wall, with variation in spacing, pressure, and depth.

This year's RHS Chelsea Flower Show demonstrated the growing interest and resurgence in natural materials and traditional crafts, with earthen structures and natural finishes featured across several of the show's most celebrated gardens.

Clayworks contributed our natural exterior finishes to two medal-winning show gardens - the Killik & Co 'A Seed in Time' Garden and The Boodles Garden, while our co-founder Adam Weismann unveiled his new sculpture, Earth Pulse, in The Sightsavers Garden.

Sol de Arcilla (Clay Sun) is a two-bedroom apartment refurbishment in Hackney, London, designed by Studio Merlin as a warm, calming yet playful home that draws inspiration from its urban setting. The concept was to reflect the character of the yellow London stock and red brick buildings visible from the flat’s kitchen window, reinterpreting these tones through our natural, pigmented clay plaster finishes.

The design sought to make the most of the 52sqm space by reworking the kitchen, integrating storage and creating a focal point at the heart of the flat - a clay sun.

Set within the Grade II listed 1929 Ballroom Wing at Claridge’s, renowned interior designer Bryan O’Sullivan unveiled his inaugural collection of furniture, lighting and home furnishings within an intimate new gallery space.

The interior is representative of O’Sullivan’s approach - playful forms, confidence with colour, and a refined layering of historical references.

Clayworks Rustic Ombré clay plaster adorns the walls and ceilings - a textural counterpoint to the sleek glass and metal elements within the collection. Overhead, a hand-painted celestial mural by artist Sam Wood reinforces the layered artistry and craftsmanship at the heart of the project.

Design: Bryan O’Sullivan Studio
Finish: Rustic Textured Ombré clay plaster in TER-03 to WHI-08
