Every year we breathe a sigh of relief when Hay Festival comes to a close........in the 11 days of the festival this year we have provided housekeeping and linen to accommodate 452 guests. We think that may have beaten our previous record!

We have been celebrating the achievements of our Accounts Apprentice this evening with huge pride at The Apprentice Awards 2024.

Congratulations to Alex for being awarded the Best Progress Award! The hard work and determination has paid off.

Alex joined us in October 2023 and has been working hard behind the scenes to upgrade and improve our admin and accounting processes.

We’re looking forward to the next year with him as he continues his apprenticeship.

Job Vacancy - Housekeeping Assistant to cover Maternity Leave

12 month contract, minimum of 12 hours per week. This is a salaried position.

We are looking for a Housekeeping Assistant to work alongside our fabulous team completing changeover cleans in a variety of beautiful locations within Herefordshire and Powys.

Ideally we would prefer someone with professional cleaning experience, though on the job training is provided.

The following attributes are essential:

* Good communication, self motivation and initiative
* High standards of attention to detail and be able to follow checklists and standard operating procedures
* Good verbal communication
* Dedicated and enthusiastic
* Physically fit
* Reliable

We’re very proud to be a truly family-run business. This time last year the whole family pulled together to help us achieve a massive milestone. In a moment of madness we chose a “quiet” time of the year to demolish the old laundry and replace it with a new, modern building…….with a 3 week deadline!

Did we achieve it? Of course we did and it was up and running ready for the December rush thanks to the efforts of Neil and Keith who worked through the rain and snow to make sure it was finished in time.

Was it worth it? Absolutely! We have enjoyed the luxury of working in a laundry that was designed and built to suit our needs.
