So, as Namrick enters the cocoon to grow into an online butterfly, eventually, I am off to pastures new. After 23+ years of nut & bolt flogging, advice giving, abuse taking, abuse giving (sorry!) laughs, tears and so, so much more. Thanks to all the friends I've made, both at the counter and behind the scenes, you know who you are. Good luck to the next incarnation of the Nut n Bolt Store and all who sail in her. Cheers everyone, I'll maybe see you around for a beer n a chat before I head back to the frozen North!

All good things........ It is with some sadness that we have to announce our decision to permanently close the shop on Portland Road and move to online only. Ever since the lockdown we, like many other small businesses, have been struggling to keep the ol place afloat. There's been a massive shift from the high street to online shopping which is proving to be the death-knell for many. Moving forward we will hopefully be able to stay in business for a good while yet. The last 18 months have been particularly difficult for our staff for numerous reasons too. We'd like to thank all our customers over the 45+ years of "Helping to keep it together ", we've made some lifelong friends and through all the ups and downs some fantastic memories. Keep an eye on our socials for updates, but for now, not goodbye but adieu. 👍🍻♥️

Go on, give them a like, what's not to love here?!! 🍻🚂🚅

As a lot of you will know, we had to cancel our visit to Wensleydale Railway this weekend due to the weather.
This has depressed us a little, because we were not able to see our followers and customers in the flesh.
This got us thinking.
As we are getting very close to another milestone in the followers we have on the page, we want to ask a little favour to cheers us up.
If you know someone who's into railways or reel ale and you think they would like our page, could you ask them to follow us, to get our numbers up.
If we can manage to get over the magic 2100 followers, this will make our weekend just a little bit sweeter. 😁 (Plus it will stop us from crying as well 😁) Thanks
