Natural individuality or a controlled decorative pattern?

Reconstituted veneer is made from real wood. Layers are arranged, bonded and re-sliced, often after dyeing, to create a designed appearance with greater repeatability.

Natural solid oak retains the individual grain and tonal variation formed as the tree grew.

Both have their place in a design brief. When the character of the timber itself is central to the furniture, natural oak offers a distinctive starting point.

Every piece of natural solid oak carries its own story: distinctive grain, individual knots and subtle changes in colour formed as the tree grew.

These details give furniture its identity. A knot becomes a focal point. A change in tone adds warmth. Grain flowing through a milled profile makes the surface unique to that particular piece of timber.

Reconstituted veneer is also made from real wood, but its decorative pattern is created by arranging, bonding and re-slicing layers, often dyed to achieve a controlled appearance. Its strength is consistency.
