Ever heard of a Chimney Sheep? Well, it was new to me too but we think it's something you should get if you have a fireplace as it will save you a fortune on heat escaping through it when not in use!

The chimney sheep is a wool plug that blocks it , pull it out when you want a fire, pop it back when you don’t.

Meet Vance - Our new Heating Engineer.

It is an absolute pleasure to have him on board and someone we can not wait to work with. He's excellent, skilled and a real asset to us here at Ipsum and hopefully anyone that works with us will see that too.

We're now working on the plant room at the Waltham job, some radiators in, pipework being done and it's on its way! Exciting! 😎

Also, we love the black rads they've chosen, what do you think?

As a reminder this is a 42kW NIBE Ground Source Heat Pump being installed.

Someone asked what actually happens on the last day of installing a heat pump, so this is roughly it.

The unit going on the wall is the part everyone showcases but the handover and aftercare is super important. Commissioning means going through the system in full and completely checking it over. Proving it runs how it was designed to and not just that it runs.

Making sure remote monitoring is set up, so if the weather comp wants a nudge in January we can do it from here instead of you taking a morning off work.

Then we clean up, and we go through the controls with you properly. You'll have this for years to come, you should know how to run it before we drive off. 😊
