Staffordshire Fire Doors has manufactured and supplied 328no certified FD30 & FD60 fire‑rated doorsets, including oak laminate and PVC‑wrapped specifications, for the new UHNM CDC in Hanley. Great to contribute to a facility designed to improve diagnostic capacity and patient experience in Stoke-on-Trent.

About Us
We are a fast‑growing joinery manufacturing facility based in Market Drayton, specialising in high‑quality commercial fire door sets and a full range of bespoke joinery products. Due to continued expansion, we are seeking an experienced Bench Joiner to join our dedicated and friendly team.

The Role
As a Bench Joiner, you will play a key role in assembling joinery components into fully finished, high‑quality products. You will work primarily on the manufacture of commercial fire door sets, ensuring accuracy, consistency and excellent craftsmanship before items are passed to our spray department and prepared for site delivery.
Key Responsibilities

Manufacture and assemble joinery components to precise specifications
Produce high‑quality commercial fire door sets
Use workshop machinery, tools and equipment safely and effectively
Read and interpret technical drawings
Ensure all work meets company quality standards
Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Work collaboratively as part of a busy production team

Requirements

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a joinery manufacturing workshop (essential)
Formal qualification such as NVQ Level 2/3 or completed apprenticeship in Bench Joinery (essential)
Strong understanding of joinery techniques and workshop practices
Ability to work to detailed drawings and tight tolerances
High attention to detail and pride in producing quality craftsmanship
Fire door manufacturing experience beneficial but not essential

Working Hours

40 hours per week
Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm
Overtime available during busy periods

Salary
Hourly rate dependent on experience and discussed with shortlisted candidates.
