Big plans for your home? Start with FORT!

Our customers brought us their architect’s drawings, and our FORT Estimating Service provided a clear breakdown of material quantities and estimated material and labour costs, helping them plan around their budget.

Used mainly by builders to cost projects and prepare customer quotes, our service also helps homeowners and self-builders understand the likely costs before work begins.

For this project, we supplied:
• All structural and construction materials
• Bathroom and downstairs cloakroom sanitary ware, taps, fittings, units and wall paneling
• Engineered timber flooring, internal doors and double pocket doors

Say hello to Sonya!

Now in her 18th year in the industry, Sonya brings plenty of experience from working in a builders’ merchant, including supervisor and assistant manager roles. She also has a background in beauty and fitness — so she knows a thing or two about makeovers, whether it’s you or your next home improvement project!

Her plumbing knowledge and flair for showroom design come with a commitment to looking after every customer.

Outside work, she loves sports cars, netball and running. She’s always up for a challenge, especially if there’s a bag of Haribo at the finish line!

Sonya says everyone has helped her feel welcome. The team’s knowledge, can-do attitude and customer care have all made a big impression.

Some deliveries are bigger than others… these didn’t fit through the letterbox!

FORT’s always happy to help with special order items, working with trusted suppliers to source the right products for your project.

Our customer wasn’t sure whether a Marsh Industries SUMP2DRAIN pump station would meet their project requirements, so we arranged a site visit. Marsh attended promptly, and everything was then ordered and delivered quickly. No guesswork, no drama—just the right kit sorted.

Also making an appearance: steel lintels, Keylite roof windows and timber beams big enough to count as a gym session.

Giving Timber a Second Life

At FORT, we’re always looking for ways to make better use of timber that might otherwise go to waste.

One local business putting it to good use is Slate Hill Charcoal, turning selected waste wood into charcoal through their fascinating production process.

A great example of reducing waste, reusing materials and supporting local businesses.

And with bonfire season coming up, you might even spot some FORT timber at a local display!
