Olympus Tool Hire Olympus Tool Hire, in Newton Abbot, offers a wide range of quality tool for hire - to both trade and the diy homeowner.

Olympus Building Services Limited were incorporated in 2012 and are an independent Plant and Tool Hire company with a good range of selected and competitively priced building products. We are based in Newton Abbot but we service and deliver to customers from Exeter in the east, Plymouth to the west and Okehampton in the north. We have a national countrywide reach through our accounts of other large national hire companies - we get good terms as we have a culture of paying our suppliers within the designated terms of trade. This allows our local customers to have a countrywide access to hire equipment with a single call.

We work to your timetable. If it needs to be on site for a 7.30 start, that's when it arrives.

A pressure washer clears the green off in an afternoon and we've got machines for the patio, and the bowser-mounted Tornado for big yards and sites with no water supply.

Weekend job planned? We're open tomorrow morning, 7.30 to 10am.

While you're in, the shop counter has the bits that always run out halfway through a job: screws and fixings, sealants and adhesives, hand tools and door furniture. It saves the second trip into town on a Saturday afternoon.

You ring and tell us the job, not the machine. We'll suggest what we'd use, and if something smaller and cheaper will do it, we'll say so.

Collect from the yard in Newton Abbot, or we'll deliver to suit your start time. Everything is checked over before it leaves, and if you've not used one before, just ask and we'll run you through it.

When you're finished, ring us and we'll sort the collection. That's it.

Here's your October forecast from the hire counter. The week the weather properly turns, heaters, dehumidifiers, generators and pumps all go out within a couple of days of each other. It happens every year.

If you already know you'll need one, for the first cold snap, the first storm or the first trench that fills overnight, ring now and put your name on it rather than joining the queue.

First streaming windows of the season won't be far off. If one of your rooms struggled with damp last winter, a dehumidifier run hard for a week or two now, before condensation season starts, takes the summer's stored moisture out of the walls before it becomes November's mould.
