🏂 Today we visited Douk Snowboards, a UK snowboard manufacturer, to see how they craft their custom boards.

As part of their production workflow, Douk uses the Trend CNC SmartBench to help bring their snowboard designs to life with precision and efficiency. It was great to see the SmartBench being put to work in such a creative and innovative environment!

We’re thrilled to have won the ABTT Engineering Product of the Year Award for the Trend SmartBench CNC! 😀 🏆

To be recognised by ABTT and the theatre production community is a huge honour. It reinforces what we’ve always believed: that professional CNC technology can be portable, accessible, and powerful enough to transform how scenery, stages, props and set pieces are made.

One of the highlights of the show was the hundreds of conversations we had with stage designers, set builders, technicians and production teams. Time and again, the same themes came up: portability, ease of use, and the ability to take SmartBench directly to where the work is happening.

From stage and scenery construction to prop making, it was fantastic to hear so many ideas for how the Trend SmartBench CNC could be used across the industry.

A huge thank you to the ABTT, the judges, and everyone who stopped by to see us.

We’re already looking forward to next year’s show.
