Today I think I found the almost perfect machine. A sure match for Kubota and the popular Rhinoceros brand in the UK. Just awaiting a few last details on Monday. The brand is KADE, manufactured by OULIDE that have been manufacturing mini excavators for 14 years in China. Excellent build quality, Kubota engines, ergonomic and load sensing pump giving awesome control and performance.

You must be getting bored of these posts but it helps my memory when selecting which to buy. This afternoons factory visit was with the Shandong Qilu brand. The 1.8 Ton was very stable and had a very good pilot control system with flow adjustment on the valve block which could be handy. Again the 1.2 and 1.3 Tin machines have very sensitive controls and this seems to be a theme so I will check out a few UK machines to compare. Other than that these are in the top 3!

Visited the INFRONT branded excavators and these were the most ergonomic and comfortable 1.2 Ton and 1.8 Ton machines so far. Pilot control system was very stable and not ultra sensitive especially for the larger unit. The larger unit has a rotary plunger pump allowing simultaneous operation of two systems, whereas the 1.2 Ton unit has a single gear pump which restricts usage to a single system. However, what I did find out later was that they are a trading company and they don't actually manufacture the machine so parts and warranty may be an issue!

Visited the largest factory so far today in China that manufactures the HigTop brand of mini excavators. Tried out the 1.2 Ton and 1.8 Ton machines and what a disappointment. Control systems were ultra sensitive and when you closed the dipper arm against the blade you could drive a train in between them. So one to knock off the list. However, they had a very good line up of concrete crushers and have attached photos of these instead.

Well this is the second factory visit in China checking out the best quality and value. I would say that this FULLWIN excavator is the best quality so far. They manufacture from 600kg to 60,000kg (60 Tonne) and have 20 years experience in doing so. Here are a few photos of their 1.8 Ton model that I am considering for my rental fleet. These will have Kubota D1105 Engines, Extending Tracks, Hydraulic Quick Hitch, Hydraulic Thumb, Hydraulic Offset Boom Function, Two Speed Tracking, 260mm Digging Bucket, 450mm Digging Bucket, 1000mm Cleaning Bucket, Hydraulic Breaker and 1000mm Tilting Bucket. A unique rental specification for the UK market!

Heading down to London on my first leg of the journey to Beijing, China. I have a very busy schedule inspecting and demoing the best mini diggers for my rental fleet. 9 factory visits in 5 days commencing Monday. All my equipment has been been specified with Kubota engines for the 1.2 Ton machines and the powerful Laidong engine for the 1.8 Ton machines.

Thursdays job was fitting a 22 HP Loncin Engine into my Westwood V20/50 Ride On Mower to replace the knackered 20HP Briggs and Stratton (Scrapem). I wasn't sure that it would fit but it has an identical drive shaft and bolt pattern to fit straight in. After a few exhaust and heat shield mods it's up and running. I got another two 22HP Loncin Engines for £375 if you need one to replace your Briggs or Kawasaki powered Westwood!
