Roberts We Are An Official Frenchic Paint Stockist.. We have, on occasion, fallen into the inevitable trap ourselves.

An old fashioned shop with old fashioned service, Roberts is an integral part of the town's history, locals tell of fond memories in days gone by! Everything you need, in one place

Visitors to the town are delighted to discover a shop offering products they thought had long since been discontinued - often likening it to an 'Aladdin's cave' of treasures. The original vintage Hardware Shop drawers,

from which we still sell loose nails, screws and other products in singles, are much admired. We never tire of hearing reference to the famous Two Ronnie's Forkandles sketch and will happily supply Fork handles, four candles, or hose, O's and even hoes. Service with a smile

If you think that the days of "service with a smile" and "the customers is always right" are long gone, we will take you back to those days by going out of our way to assure customer satisfaction, always with a smile and good humour. We are a continually changing and growing enterprise, but one thing remains the same - the value we place on customer service. We listen to our customers and accommodate their needs, by being flexible, friendly and thoroughly professional retailers. Local people enjoy our relaxed `if it's not right, bring it back' attitude. We won't quibble over whether you bought it from us, because we will remember you.

Drop off & Collection point for Refills in Ottery

I’ve teamed up with a brilliant local business — Roberts (right next door to our old shop) on Broad Street Ottery St Mary — to make refilling and collecting your orders even easier!

Opening hours: 9-5pm Mon-Saturday

If you’re local to Ottery, Honiton or nearby, you can now use Roberts as a drop-off & collection point for both your refills and online orders 🙌

How it works:
Any orders online click Roberts as the click & collect

For refills:
🧴 Drop your empty bottles into Roberts (Mon–Sat, 9–5)
📝 Add your name, email & what you’d like in each bottle
🛍️ Pop everything in a bag, tie it

I’ll collect them, refill your products, and send you an email to pay ✔️

Once that’s done, your refills will be ready to collect back at Roberts — usually the next day (or Monday if dropped off on Saturday)

It’s all about making low-waste living that little bit easier, more flexible, and accessible 💫

This is such a lovely way to support two local businesses while reducing waste — and I’m so excited to get this up and running!
