🚧 Another stunning driveway transformation completed in Penwortham… and this one is an absolute whopper! 👌

This marks the final stage of a huge renovation project carried out by Pete Dewhurst, who has completely transformed a bungalow for his daughter, and what a cracking job he’s done! From extensive internal renovations and fresh external render, to a beautiful porcelain patio, which all leads up to the finishing touch… this monster driveway! 🙌

Installed using over 110m² of Tobermore Shannon Slate, perfectly edged with a Tobermore Shannon Natural border, the contrast of colours creates a modern, stylish finish that really completes this beautiful family home 🏡

Today is a sad day here at Alty’s HQ 💔

If you’ve visited our Much Hoole branch over the last 14 years, there’s a good chance you’ve been welcomed by the friendly face of Myles on the trade counter. Myles has decided it’s time for a new adventure and change in career path, as he heads off to work in the motor industry, which means today marks his final day working with us here at Alty’s.

Since he joined us just after leaving school, Myles has been a great asset and a huge part of the Alty’s family, always bringing his cheeky smile, great sense of humour, and friendly attitude to work every single day. He’s built fantastic relationships with both the team and our customers, and he will truly be missed by us all.

Thank you for your contribution to the business over the last 14 years, your hard work, loyalty, and friendly personality have meant so much to everyone. You’ll always have a place at Alty’s 🫶🏻

Trade Counter Sales Apprentice 📚

We are looking for a school/college leaver or young person to join us as an apprentice, helping to run our busy trade counter at our branch in Chorley, while also earning recognised qualifications as you earn.

What you’ll be doing:

✅ Serving both trade and retail customers face-to-face, processing orders and offering expert product advice
✅ Handling telephone enquiries and taking customer orders
✅ Receiving incoming goods and ensuring stock is stored safely and efficiently
✅ Keeping the trade counter area clean, organised, and welcoming
✅ Picking, packing, and checking orders for collection and delivery
✅ Liaising with supplier representatives during branch visits

What will I learn?
